Notes from the Wine Underground

I'm too busy to care too much about most things these days or follow current events, which is a blessing I guess considering that the economy is going to hell in a hand-basket, the election campaigns are turning uglier and uglier, and I find myself coping alternately with a downturn in the wine business and an inexplicable infestation of drosophila melanogaster.  I've been so preoccupied that I was shocked to learn today that the dodgers had managed to win a playoff series for the first time since I was a sophomore in high school.  I don't care how long the cubs and, now the phillies, have waited to win the world series (100 and 28 seasons, I think), it's high time for the Dodgers to exorcise the demons of Jack Clark and make this thing happen.

Team # 9 Nancy Pelosi Blames Jake & Chris are putting together a nice streak of their own with back to back overall score wins. I'm sure there are starting to think of the growing jackpot as their money, but they won't get it until they can pull the correct token out of the bag.

Team #13 Ye Olde Kings Team shocked us all by winning round 4 and giving us these categories, though I may have shocked even more of us by not losing the categories before writing the blog:
