Last night we had our second ever monthly bonus drawing and it was a bit of a thrill to randomly reward a team just for playing. This time it was Week 4's Team #5 Green Bud Packers who were blessed with a bottle of Marsannay Rouge and $20 per player. Since they were a team of 3, there were a few more bottles left over and they went to Teams 9, 14, &18, respectively. Yay for free stuff!
As far the Quiz part of the night was concerned, it was deja vu all over again. Team #17 Northwest Purple Baggage Claim won a narrow victory, but failed to win the big jackpot and Team #16 Underdog Overachievers muddled through the first three rounds before winning round 4 for the second week in a row. Here are their new categories for round 3 of next week:
- Nietzsche
- Neolithic Revolution
- Office (TV Show - US Version)
- Werner Herzog
- The Kids in the Hall
- Jimmy Carter
- David Bowie
- Alice in Chains
- William Faulkner
- Nextel
- Six Feet Under
- European Soccer (UEFA)
- US Senators
- Alternative Energy

Also, for those of you planning to come to the Thursday night quiz, a few items of interest:
1. Please, please, please do your best to be there at 7, as I will be starting as close to that time as possible (7:15 start at the latest)-I will repeat round 1 questions for late-comers at the end of the round.
2. As this is a special quiz, there will be no round 3 questions linked to the topics provided above, HOWEVER, I will have 1-2 questions each on Dogs, Running, and Things English. For those of you who like to study, consider that a hint.
3. Another hint-as it is Guy Fawkes day, there may be a question or 2 related to that topic.
4. No jackpot this time (all proceeds from entry fees go to DAWG), but the usual drink token prizes for each round will be in effect, and I will have a prize package for the overall winning team.

Thanks again for your support! Hope to see you next Weds. AND Thursday!

Wait, so our brilliant categories are being passed over this week?? We live to win Round 4 just so we can provide those for everyone! Jimmy Carter and alternative energy are a lot more entertaining than dogs and running! For example, what large, grinning statue can be found in Jimmy's hometown of Plains, GA?

The categories will be in effect for Wednesday's quiz, not Thursday's quiz. Sorry for the confusion.
