Sorry it's been so long since my last post, but, well, the wedding's over, people. Not much to comment on that front, really.
Some of you may have read about the recent brush fires that scorched about 20,000 acres between LA and Santa Barbara. I actually had to drive down to LA yesterday, and my boss got a pretty cool photo of the fires from the highway on his camera-phone.
I'm sorry to have just done that to certain members of our families. I know that posting a photo with a close-up of the fires will cause some people to worry that I am needlessly endangering my life by driving near raging brush fires, and, frankly, by living in a place that is prone to such things as raging brush fires (as opposed to, say, Baltimore or San Francisco, which remain distinctly fire-free). I might as well post a photo of Kim running with scissors, or of me walking in South Central LA asking random passers-by if they know where the nearest ATM is so I don't have to walk around with all this cash.
Don't worry. It's not that bad. The air smells a little funny in SB, and everyone's car needs a wash as a result of the thin layer of ash we were greeted by this morning, but there are no other threats or consequences pending.
